Llandeilo Fawr Festival of Music and Flowers. Mozart’s Don Giovanni with the Garden Opera Company:
Conductor : Peter Bridges Director : Martin Lloyd Evans. One of the most atmospheric gardens in Wales will again be transformed into an enchanting open-air opera house when the highly acclaimed company bring their new production of Mozart’s powerful operatic masterpiece to Aberglasney.
Wine will be served on arrival and there will be an extended interval to enjoy a picnic on the Aberglasney lawns. Buffet meals, wine and champagne may also be ordered in advance.

Jazz Evening with Clare Teal
Another first for the Festival will be an evening of jazz at Aberglasney, featuring the brilliant singer/songwriter who has just signed a major recording contract with Sony Jazz. Teal, described as a huge star in the ascendant, will appear with her band. Tickets £20.

Museum of Welsh Life 17, 25, 31 Coracle-making in the boat house Coracles are small boats consisting of tarred material over a light wooden or basketwork frame. They were traditionally used for fishing on several Welsh rivers and are still used today in some areas. Making these light crafts is an art in itself - come along to the Boathouse and see one taking shape!

Gardens have inspired some of the greatest artists in the world to create some of their finest masterpieces. Every day throughout the summer holidays, enjoy a chance to create your own art-work, using the gardens at St Fagans as your inspiration. Come along to the Italian Garden, where the Art Cart will be packed full of drawing materials ready for you to use!

When the Church of St Teilo Llandeilo Tal-y-bont was being taken down, a series of medieval wall-paintings was discovered. These paintings told the story of the saints and helped explain what the service was about. Come and have a go at creating your own ‘medieval wall-painting’, and hear about the troublesome game of ‘Cnapan’, which was played between different parishes.
